EcUtopia customers experienced intermittent connectivity issues between October 25, 2021 and December 9, 2021. This was triggered by a migration to a new platform needed to maintain security compliance.
TrueCommerce observed intermittent issues with one of three AS2 instance therefore we adjusted the connection limits on the embedded webserver but the symptoms persisted. TrueCommerce then switched to using the IIS webserver to host the software and adjusted the connection limits via IIS configuration but the symptoms persisted. The TrueCommerce Technical Operations team turned their focus towards actively managing the file and directory structures created by the AS2 application. Automated scripts were put in place on all AS2 instances to manage these files and directory structures going forward. The Technical Operations team was also monitoring transaction volume and manually cleaning directory structures for trading partners sending high volume of transactions. This approach provided temporary relief to the symptoms.
On December 9, 2021, our third party service provider created a new build to resolve the lingering issues permanently. TrueCommerce’s Technical Operations team partnered with our service provider and deployed the new build on December 10, 2021.
